Weather has been the hottest of the year with water temps in the 80s. Very hot and humid so kind of miserable in the boat. Walleye are biting great on the portage lakes and the trout are hitting trolling as long as you get down deep. Nick Grota caught a 27″ fat trout in Baldy bay and we have caught a 29″ and 30″ last week, all in Baldy. Northerns are slow because of the heat and no wind. Lake has been like glass and Im watching the weather channel as I write this and it says the wind is out of the west at 0 mph. Not perfect fishing conditions.
Weather has to change sometime…..hopefully soon
