Unfortunately I’ve never seen the Mosquitos as bad as they are this year. It is making going to a portage lake almost unbearable. Something has happened to make the perfect storm for mosquito hatching. On the good news the last storm just missed us to the south and dumped huge amounts of rain that I doubt our docks could have withstood. Our water level has gone down a little but still could lose a couple feet. Weather has cooled thankfully with a breeze today that’s keeping the Mosquitos at bay.
Bring bug spray from the states, mosquito coils, or better yet Thermacells. They do a great job. Almost all the stores up here are out of bug stuff and what’s left is crazy priced.
