The camp is up and running. Always takes awhile to get all the boats and motors ready and everything repaired that got broke over the winter. A bear was in camp and made a big mess for us after we left last year. It got into everything. We’re lucky he didn’t do more damage. Water level is close to normal or a little low. Fire bans are still in strict effect with helicopters and planes flying over a lot making sure everyone is being careful. Make sure you go to anglers pro shop for your live bait and licenses. Nestor falls bait, at the beginning of town charges way too much for licenses. Anglers pro shop is the best of 2 evils. Nestor falls could use a decent bait and tackle store. You could stop in fort frances instead. We had our first group in camp this week and they did excellent on lake trout. We’ll keep you informed on the fire ban.
